While in New York I had the Barry Wine‘s Raw Ahi Tuna and Wasabi pizza from Chef Jean-Georges’ The Mercer Kitchen. It was pretty amazing. Crispy yet yet doughy crust, thin sliced ahi tuna rests upon a spicy wasabi and crème fraîche cheese.
This is topped off with shredded carrot and daikon radish marinated in ponzu sauce. Add on pickled ginger, black sesame seeds, minced chives and shiso leaves. It was actually more delicious than it was beautiful and that’s saying something!
