Experienced the second storm from a year living in San Diego. Growing up in Texas we saw storms like this all the time, especially this time of the year. So many fond memories of watching the rain pound the city streets, our barn’s tin roof and even sometimes the Galveston coast. Those were the days. Now I’m in California where thunderstorms are an absolute rarity.

I wish I’d have made the quick trip to the coast to take a picture of the sunset as the storm went to sea but I was too busy drying off after one hell of a downpour. I also wish I’d caught some of the lightning and thunder that shook the building I was in at the moment. We could sure use about a hundred more of these here in Southern California.
