NYC Sunset Silhouette

I took this picture on one of my last evenings in New York City when I was there for KATG Week. All of the events were held in an area of Brooklyn called Dumbo, so named because it is “Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass.” Wandering the area in the hours just before sunset you’ll a dozen models and photographers working on their portfolios, taking advantage of the incredible views and varying textures.

I caught the sunset just in time that I was able to hand hold my camera and still get a sharp photo. I exposed for the sunset but boosted things a bit to remain some of the buildings facing me. Love how it came out, especially since it was totally unplanned. On the right you can see Freedom Tower still under construction.
