These beautiful champagne flutes are cursed. I started with a dozen of these leaded crystal glasses but now I’m down to just four. One benefit to high quality crystal is when the glass breaks, it does it in style. This glass broke during a champagne celebration one night. The next day I set this glass on the windowsill while I cleaned the flutes that were still standing.

That’s about when I saw the awesome sunset refracting through the shards of glass. It was beautiful enough to take a picture. Before I could get another shot in, my camera battery died. That’s too bad but luckily this fun little shot made it through. Be careful, it’s sharp.
